Project Brief:

Utilizing a minimalist approach to complement existing Pacific Northwest architecture, the designer incorporated monolithic design elements to enhance the open and voluminous spaces in the Georgetown Squared Building, which was repurposed to provide creative and edgy office spaces from a portion of the original Seattle Design Center. A skybridge connects Georgetown Squared to the remaining building of the Seattle Design Center, which retains certain elements of its Pacific Northwest appeal while combining the new elements of the adjacent building in the lobby areas to include a quasi-floating staircase, porcelain tile seating ledges, and touch-screen information centerson
